October 23 and 24, 2008, Americus, GA
Overview: RCI’s 2008 national conference is the one conference you should attend if you are serious about implementing evidence-based programs for caregivers. For the second year, RCI's Annual Conference is supported by a generous grant from Johnson and Johnson.
.
Your registration fee of $150.00 includes two full days of program that you will not find anywhere else, a welcome reception on Wednesday, October 22, continental breakfast and lunch on both conference days, and transportation between your hotel and the conference both days.
Awards Celebration: On Thursday evening, October 23, join together with your colleagues and enjoy a truly special evening with Rosalynn Carter and friends. Last year, former President Jimmy Carter made a surprise appearance and provided moving testimony about Rosalynn's deep commitment to caregivers. Following a wonderful dinner, excitement builds as we anticipate the annoucement of the 2008 Winners of the Rosalynn Carter Leadership in Caregiving Award. The wining team will be awarded a beautiful statue (pictured at right) and a cash prize of $20,000 to continue their work. We will also recognize the Georgia Caregivers of the Year and present them each with a personal check for $1,000.
Conference Program: The conference program will provide you with a thorough overview of evidence-based caregiving programs. We will explore the evidence for effective programs, provide numerous examples of effective programs available for adoption now, provide a framework for selecting and implementing an evidence-based program in your agency, and guide you through the steps that will lead to success.
For this Conference, RCI is partnering with NIRN (The National Implementation Research Network), a national leader in implementing evidence based programs for the U.S. Department of Education, SAMHSA and other federal agencies. Presenters will be leading experts in the caregiving field and practitioners involved in the work of implementing caregiver support programs in communities around the country. “How-To” workshops, case studies, and opportunities to meet leading program developers round out the picture.
On this web site you can browse conference information including confirmed presenters, schedule, lodging and transportation information, and more. Secure online registration is available now for credit card payment.
